Under the cosh?

Is it just me, or has anyone else been having an unsually bad time ove the last couple of weeks? My attacks have been more viscious and frequent than usual. ( I wondered if it was something to do with the wierd weather).

I'm seeing a good few people saying they're having a really rough time just now. Hope it eases up soon...

Hi Miss Kitty

The peak times of going into cycle for episodic sufferers are March/April and late October - when the seasons change and of course when the clocks change.  The seasonal changes affect the hypothalamus [the seat of our disease] and also changes in light levels affect the same organ.  I've also noticed that chronic sufferers seem to have exacerbations in their CH, more attacks, higher pain levels, lots of shadowing at around the same times of year.  So yes, I'd say the topsy turvey weather and the time of year have much to do with the current run of people having a bad time.  Wish you all PF as soon as possible and able to enjoy the warmer weather we are told is on the way!

Val.
